Christ Dominion Academy’s geometry course connects the student's knowledge of mathematics with the designed and orderly world that was created for them.
The general goal of Christ Dominion Academy’s geometry course is to strengthen students in mathematical thinking and problem solving. This class will guide students into interacting with and applying geometric concepts instead of simply focusing on various steps to solutions. Students will be expected and encouraged to explore and discuss problems with the rest of the class.
Geometry specifically aims to teach students to connect mathematics with the world around them. One of the main objectives of this course is to introduce students to the order of a designed Creation and the patterns and observations to be found. At this first level, students will be given the vocabulary and ability to communicate with others while studying the findings of mathematicians before them. Logical thinking is joined with mathematical concepts in order to help students capably navigate the material world around them.
