Guiding Principles

"The purpose of a Christian education would not be merely to make men and women pious Christians....A Christian education must primarily teach people to be able to think in Christian categories."  -T. S. Eliot

Purpose statement:

Christ Dominion Academy was founded in 2001 to assist Christian parents in their responsibility to raise up a worshiping people, fully equipped to rebuild, repair, and restore the wasted places. The phrase “worshiping people” refers to our desire to covenant alongside families to form a community which seeks to honor God in every decision. We also recognize that “worshiping” God requires both spirit and truth (John 4:24); thus, we allow the Holy Spirit to work through us to bring purpose to the truth presented in God’s Word and world. To be “fully equipped” refers to our task in training each student to fulfill their roles in the body of Christ, which applies to all spheres of culture. While this may look different between students, we work alongside parents to advance the calling of God for each student by teaching and modelling a Christ-centered education which fosters critical thinking, academic excellence, practical applications of knowledge, and a sure foundation on Scripture. Our classical model is uniquely suited to accomplish these tasks. Lastly, we operate to teach students to rebuild, repair, and restore the wasted places of our society and world. This occurs when faith, holiness, and knowledge form actions which accomplish the works God has planned for each student (Eph. 2:10). Following the example of Christ, love must motivate these works. Thus, we teach students to have an active compassion for their communities and those who need the redemptive power of Christ.

Mission statement:

Christ Dominion Academy exists to:

  • Take every thought captive by establishing Scripture as the foundation of rational thought (2 Cor. 10:5);

  • Cultivate virtue by creating a culture which honors Christ;

  • Seek practical solutions to the problems facing the world today, thereby encouraging active participation within the Kingdom of God;

  • Train students to know, apply, and convey the knowledge of God's Word and world.

Vision statement:

Equipping a worshiping generation of world-changers.
