Christ Dominion Academy’s first-year self-paced algebra course strengthens your student's mathematical thinking and problem solving through interactive application of algebraic concepts rather than a steps-to-solutions approach.
The general goal of Christ Dominion Academy’s Algebra 1 Self-Paced class is to strengthen students in mathematical thinking and problem solving. This class will guide students into interacting with and applying algebraic concepts instead of simply focusing on various steps to solutions. At this first level, students will be given the vocabulary and ability to communicate with others while exploring the more abstract concepts of mathematics.
This curriculum is designed for self-guidance through the course at the student’s own pace. The student will complete interactive lessons and submit assignments to an instructor for grading and feedback. At the end of every unit, the student will be required to contact the instructor to schedule a video proctored test.
